Umbrella Campagne „Future of Work“

People expect answers from science as to how tomorrow’s workplaces can be designed. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research, therefore, invited scientists, but also representatives from education, industry, and politics, to discuss these questions in an interdisciplinary and international manner at the first BMBF Forum International „The Future of Work“ on 21 and 22 May 2019 in Berlin. The conference participants expected keynotes, practical workshops and an exhibition with interactive exhibits on current projects in the field of the future of work. In various formats, there was the opportunity to exchange ideas with other experts, to present one’s international activities and to network with potential partners.

In future, the series of events will be devoted every two years to a current topic from education and research – with the aim of interdisciplinary and international networking. At the same time, this year’s forum marked the start of the BMBF’s „The Future of Work“ research marketing campaign in France, Japan, and the USA.
